(VEN) Acceptable Documents for Identity, Address, and Legal Entity Verification in Venezuela

Ensure compliance with these guidelines to avoid any delays in setting up your account.

General Requirements


  1. Document Format:


  • Scans and copies must be in PDF format and directly derived from the original document.
  • Photos of physical documents must be original and unprocessed in JPEG or PNG format.
  • Screenshots are not accepted.
  • If submitting through the API, include the document_back parameter for documents requiring both front and back images.
  1. Image Quality:


  • Photos and scans of Photo IDs must be in color.
  • Photos of paper documents must be in color, though scans (excluding Photo IDs) may be in black and white.
  • Ensure documents are clear, legible, and not of low quality.
  • Documents should not be cropped, and all borders must remain visible.
  1. Document Validity:


  • Documents must be current and unexpired.
  • Submit complete documents, including all necessary pages.
  1. Special Note:


  • If the country of residence is different from the account country, a passport is required.




Accepted Documents in Venezuela


  1. Proof of Identity:


  • Cédula de Identidad Venezolana (Venezuelan National ID) or Passport.
  • Venezuelan citizens are encouraged to use their Cédula de Identidad as the primary document.
  1. Proof of Address:


  • Utility bills (electricity, water, gas), bank statements, or government-issued correspondence.
  • The address on the document must match the one registered in the Stripe account.
  1. Proof of Legal Entity:


  • RIF (Registro de Información Fiscal) or Certificate of Incorporation.
  • These documents must indicate the official name of the entity and the country of registration.
