Setting up your Aloha Mail in Microsoft Outlook for Android and iOS
Amazon WorkMail can be easily integrated with the Microsoft Outlook app on Android and iOS devices. To set up your email account in the Outlook app, follow these detailed steps:
- Open the Microsoft Outlook application:
- Make sure you have installed the Microsoft Outlook app from your device's app store (Google Play Store for Android or App Store for iOS).
- Once installed, open the application.
- Add your WorkMail account:
- From the app's main screen, select the menu icon or go to Settings and look for the Accounts option.
- Choose the Add Account option.
- Enter your account details:
- When prompted for your email address, enter your Amazon WorkMail address (for example, your_name@your_company.com).
- After entering your email, select Next.
- Select the appropriate service or protocol:
- At this stage, Outlook may ask you what type of account you're setting up. Choose Exchange as the protocol, as Amazon WorkMail uses Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to sync email and other data.
- Complete the setup with your account details:
- Password: Enter the password you use to access your Amazon WorkMail account.
- Server: Here you'll need to enter the ActiveSync URL corresponding to the AWS Region where your WorkMail account is configured. Below are some examples based on the region:
- West of EE. UU. (Oregon): mobile.mail.us-west-2.awsapps.com
- Eastern US (Northern Virginia): mobile.mail.us-east-1.awsapps.com
- Europe (Ireland): mobile.mail.eu-west-1.awsapps.com
- Domain: Enter the domain associated with your WorkMail account (if applicable). This can usually be left blank, but if you have a custom domain, you must enter it.
- Username: Enter your full Amazon WorkMail email address again.
- Finish the setup:
- Once you've entered all the details correctly, select Sign In to have the Outlook app begin syncing your email with Amazon WorkMail.
- If all the information is correct, your inbox should start loading emails, and you'll have full access to them from the Outlook app.
- Sync Customization:
- After connecting your account, Outlook may let you choose which items you want to sync, such as email, contacts, and calendars. Choose the options that best suit your needs and select Save.
Additional considerations:
- Sync issues: If you experience sync issues or setup doesn't complete automatically, verify that the ActiveSync server URL is correct and that your password doesn't contain any typos.
- Manual setup: If automatic setup fails, you may need to manually configure the server details. This would include the Exchange ActiveSync server, username and domain, and password.
