How to add a CNAME record in GoDaddy

1. Access your GoDaddy account

• Go to godaddy.com.
• Click on Log in and sign in with your credentials.

Navigate to the domain management area

• Once inside, select My Products from the main menu.

Find the domain where you want to add the CNAME and click on DNS or Manage DNS.lic en DNS o Administrar DNS.

Add a new record

In the Records section, click the Add button.

4. Select the CNAME record type

• In the Type drop-down menu, choose CNAME.

5. Fill in the required fields:

• Type CNAME
• Number: @
• Value: api-server-prod-env.us-east-1.elasticbeanstalk.com
• TTL: Leave the default value

6. Save the changes

• Click the Save button.
• GoDaddy will apply the change automatically, but it may take between 30 minutes and 24 hours for it to propagate.

Check the CNAME configuration

• You can use tools like https://dnschecker.org to ensure that the CNAME is working correctly worldwide.
