How Sire and TRA Work within Aloha
In Colombia, all tourist accommodations are required to report certain information about both the property and its guests through the SIRE (Information System for the Reporting of Foreigners) and the TRA (Accommodation Registration Card). These systems allow authorities to monitor and guarantee the legality of tourist operations, as well as ensure the safety of guests.
Completing this information correctly is vital to comply with regulations and avoid penalties.
Using SIRE and TRA on the Aloha Platform
Within the Aloha platform, the submission of SIRE and TRA forms is done automatically, as long as you have correctly configured the required information within the system in the "Profile" section.
Process: How to Complete Guest Information
- Creation of the Reservation:
- When creating a reservation on Aloha, be sure to complete all guest information. It's crucial to include a valid email address, as this will be used to send the link to the registration form. Without this email address, the guest won't receive the form needed to complete their information in SIRE or TRA.
- OTA Guests (Booking, Expedia, etc.):
- In the case of reservations from OTAs like Booking.com, it's important to keep in mind that these providers often use masked emails to protect customer privacy. Despite this, the same email is used to send the link to the registration form. The guest will receive the link, but must copy the URL and complete the form manually.
What Happens if the Guest Does Not Complete the Form Before Arrival?
If the guest hasn't completed the SIRE or TRA form and has already arrived at the property, it's important to remind them that this is an obligation they must fulfill. You can share the link to the form through their reservation created in the calendar within Aloha.
Simply go to your reservation and click the blue button to resend the form to your registered email.
Through Aloha, you can track reservations and verify whether the guest has accessed and completed the form. If they haven't, you can resend the link so they can complete it as soon as possible, even during their stay.
