Guide to Integrate Whatssap Business Account to Aloha Pro
Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up the Whatssap Business Account's Integration
π‘ What is this integration for?
Connecting WhatsApp Business with Aloha Pro allows you to send and receive messages directly from the platform, automate guest communications, and centralize all conversations in one place.
This guide will take you step-by-step through the entire connection process. You only need your Facebook/Meta Business account and about 15β20 minutes.
β An active Facebook account with Admin access to the business.
β A phone number available (that is not yet registered on WhatsApp Business).
β Access to that number to receive an SMS verification code.
β A credit or debit card (Visa or Mastercard) for the Meta payment method. |
Process Overview
The complete process is divided into 4 major stages:
- Step 1: Log in with Facebook in Aloha Pro. Authorize the connection with your Meta account from the WhatsApp Messages section.
- Step 2: Configure your WhatsApp Business Account in Meta. Create or select the business portfolio, the WhatsApp Business account, and the phone number.
- Step 3: Verify your phone number. Meta will send you a 6-digit SMS code to confirm ownership of the number.
- Step 4: Add a payment method in Meta. Necessary for Meta to activate your account so you can send messages at scale.
Step 1 β Log in to Aloha Pro
1.1 Go to the WhatsApp Messages section
In the Aloha Pro side menu, click on Communication and then WhatsApp messages. You will see a screen with the Login with Facebook button.

1.2 Log in with your Facebook account

Paso 4 Add a Payment Method in Meta
Meta requires a valid payment method to send bulk messages. This is managed by Meta, not Aloha Pro.
By connecting WhatsApp Business through Meta's API, you are accessing the WhatsApp Business Platformβa messaging tool at scale designed for medium and large businesses. Unlike the free WhatsApp Business app (limited to a single device), the API allows you to automate messages, integrate with systems like Aloha Pro, and communicate with thousands of guests in a centralized way. This service is managed and billed directly by Meta, not by Aloha Pro. This is why it is mandatory to register a payment method in your Meta Business account.
Since July 2025, Meta has applied a billing model per delivered template message, divided into four categories:
- Marketing β promotional or acquisition messages (the most expensive).
- Utility β booking confirmations, reminders, payment notifications.
- Authentication β verification codes (OTP).
- Service β replies to messages initiated by the guest. These are completely free within a 24-hour window.
The good news: if a guest writes to you first (as usually happens in the hospitality sector), that conversation has no cost. You only pay when you are the one initiating the message with an approved template. Exact values by country are available in Meta's official documentation.
4.1 Access Meta Billing and Payments
Click the Add payment method button in the confirmation window (previous step 3.4) or go to Meta Business Suite β Settings β Billing & payments.

4.2 Set location and currency
- Select location (e.g., Chile) and currency. Recommended: US Dollar (USD).
- Check the timezone and click Next.

4.3 Select payment type
Choose Debit or credit card (Visa or Mastercard) and click Next.

4.4 Enter card details
Fill in the Name, Card Number, Expiration Date, and CVV. Click Save and then Done.

4.5 Verify the payment method in the WhatsApp account
To confirm that the payment method was correctly linked to your WhatsApp Business account:
- Go to Meta Business Suite β Settings β WhatsApp Business Accounts.
- Select your account.
- In the right column, check the Payment method section. It should show the registered card.
- If "No payment method found" appears, click Update payment method, select the existing card, and confirm.

Final Result β WhatsApp Business Connected
Return to Aloha Pro β Communication β WhatsApp messages. You should see:
Indicator | Expected Value |
Screen Title | Your property name (e.g., AquaMar Hostel) |
Phone Number | Your registered number |
Status Tag | β WhatsApp Business connected |
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my personal WhatsApp number?
Not recommended. You would have to unlink it from your personal app and would lose previous chat history.
ΒΏWhat if I select the wrong currency?
You will have to create a new WhatsApp Business account. It cannot be changed.
The account says "Unverified" in Meta. Is that a problem?
Not initially. Business verification is optional at first and only affects daily message limits.
Why is my payment method "Alternative"?
It means another method is set as default. Click the three dots (...) and select "Set as default."
If the screen doesn't match this guide, contact our support team via the Live Chat icon in Aloha Pro. |
